 Year 2010

  • October 2010, A bio-tech company in Boston presents Excellent Achievement Award to Medicilon in recognition of excellent services and outstanding contributions to the collaboration.
  • June 2010, Dr. Jun Wang joins Medicilon as Vice President of Discovery Biology.
  • May 2010, Medicilon is awarded as the Key-recommended Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year.
  • May 2010, Medicilon is recognized as one of the top seven integrated services CRO in China in Citi Investment’s report.
  • April 2010, Medicilon and MPI Research signed agreement and allow Medicilon purchase 100% MPI’s share in joint venture.
  • March 19, 2010,Fortune Capital signed investment agreement with Medicilon aim to IPO in China.
  • February 2010, Dr. Wei Li joins Medicilon as Vice President of Chemistry, meanwhile Dr. Stan Lin as CSO.
  • February 2010,Dr. Soo-Peang Khor joins Medicilon as the President and Member of Scientific Committee.
  • January 2010, Roche R&D China presents a medal of Most Valuable Partner Award to Medicilon and Medicilon/MPI in recognition of excellent partnership.
  • February 4, 2010, Radioisotope laboratory in Medicilon passed environmental assessment and received the License of Radiation Safety issued by Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau.

 Year 2009

  • December 28, 2009, Medicilon was recognized as the Technology Advanced Service Enterprises by Shanghai government.
  • October 2009, Abiotech company at Boston presented Excellent Performance Award to Medicilon in recognition of excellent services and contributions to its discovery research.
  • October 2009, Medicilon/MPI preclinical research facilities compliance with US GLP standard.
  • October 20, 2009, Cell Culture Laboratory (Room 3317) of Medicilon received the Certificate of Pathogenic Microorganism Laboratory (Biological Security Level-2).
  • October 20, 2009, Medicilon/MPI gets international AAALAC Accreditation.
  • April 2009, “NHP Experimental Service Platform” was awarded as Shanghai R&D Public Service Platforms.
  • April 2009, “Protein-crystallography-based Drug Discovery and Screen Platform” of Medicilon was awarded as Shanghai R&D Public Service Platforms.
  • March 2009, Preclinical animal facilities completed AAALAC audit without mandatory issues.

 Year 2008

  • December 2008, Guolin Wang, MBA, joined Medicilon as President and COO.
  • December 2008, Non-Huamn Primate (NHP) Experimental Service Platform was awarded as Pudong Public Service Platforms.
  • October 17, 2008, New animal facility approved by Shanghai Animal Committee, was awarded the License of Laboratory Animal (Rat, Mouse, Dog,Monkey and Rabbit).
  • September 12, 2008, Medicilon/MPI was awarded the License of National Key Protected Wild Animals Domestication and Breeding.February 2008, Stan Lin joins as Vice President of Chemistry.
  • August 2008,Dr. Mingli Chen joined as Vice President of Toxicology.
  • June 2008, C&EN third report about Medicilon.
  • April 2008, MPI China team joining joint venture, and first group of employees obtained training at MPI Research.
  • February 2004,Laboratories expanded with 4 new buildings up to 20,000 square meters in Chuansha with the biggest animal facilities (45 animal rooms) in Shanghai.
  • February 2, 2008, Joint Venture, Medicilon/MPI Preclinical Research (Shanghai) LLC, registered in Shanghai.

 Year 2007

  • December 2007, Medicilon was awarded the Growth Potential Prize and CRO Star Prize of the Year.
  • December 2007, Joint Venture agreement between Shanghai Medicilon Inc. and MPI Research signed. March 2007, Dr Chunlin Chen was awarded in Shanghai Pujiang Talents.
  • November 2007, Dr. Peter Rehse joins Medicilon as Vice President of Biology.
  • May 2007,“Protein-crystallography-based Drug Discovery and Screen Platform” was listed in Pudong Public Service Platforms.
  • March 2007,C&EN second report about Medicilon.

 Year 2006

  • November 13, 2006,Medicilon was acknowledged as Hi-tech Enterprise by Shanghai Science Commission.
  • April 2006, UStraining expert, Debby Garwin, come to Medicilon for GLP training.
  • April 4, 2006,Animal facilities were issued the License of National Key Protected Wild Animals, Domestication and Breeding License for holding monkeys.

 Year 2005

  • December 31, 2005, Theanimal facilities were awarded the License of Laboratory Animal (Rat, Mouse, Rabbit, Dog and Monkey).
  • August 2005,Medicilon expand new facility of 2500 square meters in Building 5, No 67 of Libing Road.
  • April 19, 2005,Three research programs were acknowledged as Hi-Tech Programs.

 Year 2004

  • December 2004, C&EN first report about Medicilon.
  • October 2004, Thefirst LC/MC/MC was imported for pharmacokinetics services.
  • February 27, 2004, Laboratory Construction started in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park.
  • February 4, 2004, Dr.Chunlin Chen land on Shanghai as CEO of Medicilon.
  • February 2, 2004,Medicilon registered in Shanghai.
